SBC Phone Repair Service.

 

One would think they would learn from the past but obviously not. My first experience with SBC phone company was to call to have a second line put in my house so I could dedicate it to my computer. I went through the formality of making an appointment, which was 5 working days. The day came, I waited in my home 8 hours and no one showed up to install the line. Called up SBC, was told that it shows my line was installed. I asked them to physically check that out since it was not installed where it was supposed to be installed, my house. They then figured out that the installer did not come to my house and indeed, did not install the line. So, had to wait another day to get service installed.

 

Then, recently, I decided to get SBC/Yahoo dsl. Called up and was told that Oct. 13th the dsl line would be activated. Well, it was activated but unfortnately to the wrong number. My phone went completely dead and when my clients called my phone number they got some very aggrevated person who was getting all my business calls. Again, I called up SBC repair service on my cellphone, and again, the service rep said that my phone line was working and in good shape. I told him to call my phone number up and see for himself that they messed up and MY phone was completely dead. Again, was told it was too late to do anything and that they would look into it the very next day.

 

So, here I sit, with a dead SBC phone line, waiting once again for repairs which I have a gut feeling will not be resolved in a timely fashion given my history with SBC services here in Chicago.

 

What really upsets me most is that when you call up customer service and tell them of your situation they have the unmitigated gall to ask if they can look into your records to see if they can provide you with even more services. I was appalled that they were just told my SBC phone service is NOT working and their Repair Service did not repair my phone when they said they would, and they had the gall to try and sell me even more services? More services on a dead phone do not work....hello?

 

This by far is the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my life and just once, I would love for them to do exactly what they told me they would do within the timeframe THEY set and not waste my time trying to sell me more services I can't use on a dead phone. How about starting to provide me with what I am ALREADY paying for before asking me if I want more products? Absolutely absurd!
