recently had to use the extended warranty thru GE Financial Assurance Auto Warranty Services that i had purchased thru my car dealer.. the service adviser had called to file a claim and was told that the repairs to be made will be covered but to only a portion of the labor time would be covered. apparently they follow a labor guide that is not in comparison with the licensed dealer.
please take the time to read and ask questions about the warraty being purchased. they all typically indicate what parts are covered but it does'nt indicate up to how much labor time is covered for the repair..basically if all the makes followed the labor guide for there respective makes and not the chilton labor guide then the additional time wont be covedered..

Extensions of warranties are from the manufacturer only are just that, an extension of your new car warranty from the manufacturer. Many credit unions and banks will offer you there coveage as a warranty increasement or exstension. This is clearly misrepresentation of what the product really is and can be very misleading.
